Ancient Civilization Revived :O
Gladiator Shoes. You have them all; sandals, heels, wedges you name it. Maybe its comforting because you're assured that it would held onto your legs until you strap them off. These type of shoes have been in the season for quite some time.
For me, i think its kind of horrendous if its a gladiator flat sandals. When wearing it, i would imagine myself being prepared to fight one of the beast that is waiting in its cage before me.
The idea would be the straps you have on your legs would make you look superb and most importantly comfortable in wearing them. I'm not sure whether in KL they have this type of shoes being marketed at a low price. The ones that i saw lately would be the ones from NINEWEST. They have the best gladiator wedges so far (in my opinion; the color, the cutting etc)
Anyone can tell me if you know any other brands that have superb gladiator shoes??

what i learn from a Shopaholic
Confessions of A Shopaholic DVDs and VCDs are in stores NOW!!
although its kinda late to do a review on this, but here's what i want to say about the movie. At first i thought that its going to be a typical adapted novel movie where it crammed all da 200-300 pages into 1 hour and a half motion picture. what i can say would be that the twist dat the production did was great!!! isla fisher was hillarious n of cos hugh dancy was charming indeed (despite the look of dat fluffy hair)
Wut i admire would be the wardrobe dat rebecca bloomwood has..i mean not the quantity of dresses etc, but da way she dress up! many reviews hit the wardrobe hard by saying dat becky lost her colour co-ordination. but i think its her style, n it suits becky's character like a glove; cute and happy go lucky. Maybe the press who wrote dat had actually hoped for a sexy style like in Sex in The City kind of thing. Sorry Mr, u've just lost it.
N to top it all of, i saw Oprah few months a go n her stylist said to her dat ' u dont do a matchy-matchy handbag n shoes, it puts you back 10 decades in the fashion'
So maybe its time to think n choose which one would you prefer??coz i've always think dat putting on clothes dat r tooo colour co-ordinated shows dat u're not adventurous :D

Foxy turning to Muslim Modest?
I'm still wondering how can i change the Megan Fox long dress look to a Muslim wear. The dress is definitely an elegant piece! I don't know how to transform it to a hijabi look. I dont want to ruin it. One of my friends tell me dat sometimes we Muslims cant wear those hollywood dresses which are revealing n we desperately want to cover it.
Anyone out there knows how to transform it??? give some ideas :D
p/s: the rumours she's a tranny.....hurm, still guessing

i'll keep u updated..but nothing much here in KL..u cant find good material + modest cutting clothing easily..NVM i'll keep on trying :D

SHISEIDO workshop :))
Salam 2 all
Today was exhausting yet its a blast coz i got to go to the SHISEIDO workshop in KLCC. I learned a lot from the workshop.
Basically the workshop focused on the make up and also the eye care. One important information for ladies out there who's driving everyday without wearing sunglasses, your right eye is a bit more wrinkled than your left. So better start caring more on your eyes, coz u dont want to get old when its not the time as yet.
I wished i can go again, its a good way to spend ur time with ur BFF. However, u have to dig a hole in ur pocket. It costs $$$...but seriously, you'll learn a lot from it.
Now, i can recommend myself to be a make-up artist for u guys out there.. The charges are going to be as affordable as you can spent :))
after the workshop-everyone's looking beautiful-
for myself; concealer maquillage and also a compact powder :]
this was the freebies from the workshop and also from the foundations dat i purchased;
1. 2 samples SHISEIDO skin care; cleansing, softener n also moisterizer
2. the travel sized make up brushes and also the foundation sponge
3. lip n eye liner
4. makeup pouch
which makes da whole thing to be; ta-da

LMOTP
late update coz my internet modem was struck by lightning (X-X)
anyway, im currently watching this dramedy (drama comedy) from Canada which talks about a Muslim community. Its definitely a fresh comedy, dat make me think again, why in Malaysia they cant do something like this, well lets just hope so we can have some kind of a entertainment twist after this.
Its called LMOTP- Little Mosque on The Prairie-
although some of the muslims themselves cant accept this type of comedy coz they think somehow or rather its degrading the Islam as Ad-Din, i totally have to disagree. well, i've just seen one or two episodes, i cant find which part dat degrades Islam as a religion. Its just telling a stroy dat even Muslims have the characters which are definitely not perfect, but of course Islam is Syumul as always ila yaumul qiyamah.
so just take it as a joke, but if u dont agree, stop watching.. its on youtube of course. its great to have this kind of comedy, i think it suits the Muslims around the world
HAPPY WATCHING
p/s: i love the way dat rayyan (heroin) dresses as a doctor, simple and sweet V(^^)V

Syurga Cinta
the cast; Awal Ashaari, Haziq, Heliza Helmi
Before anything, im so sad for my laptop. my baby laptop here is having a 'fever' i guess, dats why i cant update my blog.
I wanted to do a review on this before the film went on screen which is 21st May. Nevertheless, better late than never.
1st n foremost, Wuteva im going to write, its my opinion n people would either accept it or brush it aside. I dont care.
David Teoh-MIG produce- n his gang called it as the '1st Islamic dawah movie' in Malaysia. Well, maybe its true however i think the screen play wasn't original.Sorry to say this but when i look at the trailer its just like taking Indonesian 'Kiamat Sudah Dekat' and Malaysianised it.
why? maybe bcoz of these MAJOR similarities
1. involve a couple which the guy is totally disregard himself as a Muslim but the girl is a true Muslimah
2. there's a boy whom would tie their knot
3. the guy is learning to read Quran and solah from the girl's family
4. they fell in love
I absolutely cant accept what the director-Ahmad Idham- said when he was asked to comment when people commented that this film is just like KSD. he said that its not the same as the guy didnt like the girl at first. HELLO!! i mean, that just it??? what about the existence of a kid in match making them?? i mean why cant MIG just said that, owh, we're inspired by KSD but we put a lil bit of a twist in our story. I can accept it with wide arms open.
This is the problem with the Malaysian Movie Makers-producers, directors and actors actresses
when people said something like ' r u copying this movie or were u inspired...bla bla bla'
n they would go and say 'if people in Malaysia always think like this, then our industry wont go anywhere'
Well MR, i have something to say-->here in Malaysia the audiences are in need or ORIGINALITY!!!!i mean the whole world wants uniqueness n not a copycat. that's just why the film industry in Malaysia are always a NO-GO.
however i want to give credit to Heliza's wardrobe in Syurga Cinta. I think it really suits her character as a teacher in Islamic Private School, maybe if its a Public School u cant dress up like this

a rising star
The latest singer song-writer YUNA is categorized as an upcoming young hijabi star, with her jazzy songs which is so soothing. I read somewhere that her voice is like the UK singer DIDO, which i really have to agree.
her English songs are also great. She write her own songs, plays a guitar and wears a hijab. Her styling in my opinion would be more to a funky muslimah and I also think her face is like the girl next door. I went on google for her pics and i notice her sense of style would be a very simple hijabi chic.
So, my idea of her style would be something like this, and most probably its not even close..well just have a look
funky and cool would be the theme

am I asking too much?
Maxi dresses. I used to wear them back when I was ten. Now, people are starting to wear it. But of course, here in Malaysia I cant find any that amaze me. I mean even in the stores that are from the overseas. We only have to wait for the celebrities wearing such, then it would be popping out in the market like daisies!!!
the dress below is the nearest that i can find for maxi colour block dress, But look at the size, it'll only fit 30% ppl in Malaysia!! [but I still like it, i didnt know purple and yellow can blend together nicely :D]
MANGO KLCC
My idea would just be so simple
colour block dress and pair it up with a nice jersey wrap :D
it'll be very elegant... the jersey wrap can also be substituted with any type of laidback cardi..n u can find these cardis in PROMOD..theirs are lovely
hurm, when can I get my own dress? huarghh

Muslimah T-Shirts
Salam to all
There are just variety of Muslimah T-shirts in the market nowadays. Its long, which covers up your bums to your thigh.
There are plenty of choices. But mine, would be this long Tees from Ana Solehah. Theirs are so cool. Its not bulky like some other long tees. They're just nice. It fits u like a glove (well, u know wut i mean)

[The material used is 100% cotton; which not many of the long tees vendors use]
Its very stylish. U can wear it even for your outings and as your sports attire. The prices are definitely affordable. It ranges around RM38-RM50. It depends on which cutting and pattern you choose. These are just the old stocks. The latest ones have arrived!!! Aniqah magazine had done a review about it, in their latest issue--> Tv3 personality Norzie with her kids as the magazine cover.
I cant find the latest ones, but u can by just buying Aniqah or just straight away go to the Ana Solehah boutique at Diamond Square, Setapak Kuala Lumpur.
I cant wait to go again :))

Idea of a HIJAB
This is the Malaysian superstar Dato' Siti Nurhaliza. She had been wearing this head scarf just a few years a go. She had set the trend of this hijab call 'tudung siti'.
As a Superstar her tudung would cost a bomb! I wanted this type of hijab so that i can wear with a small indonesian kerudung instant
It will be so elegant! but the price for tudung siti is ranging to RM90-RM120, which can go further!!! thats ridiculous aint it? just for a selendang (shawl).
Although how much i loath the fact that people would say, the celebrities are dominant influence to the people it is nevertheless, is true, because they are the public figure. people want to look like them and sometimes to the extent to be like them. dats y, there are this non stop reality singing competition shows going on in the tv.
In my opinion, the women in Malaysia right now are following wut Siti is wearing. Which of course, is not covering ur aurah. She does wear soemthing inside but just for special occassions, like in Islamic concerts for instance
aint she pretty when wearing like this?
My idea of this hijab would be just take the instant kerudung and pair it with a nice chiffon shawl
and pin it! its simple, and would only cost u rm13 for the shawl (from http://radiusite2u.blogspot.com) and rm 20 for the instant kerudung.or if u're lucky enuff u can get Rm10!!
its not that its a trend, but its just a matter of styling ur hijab. BUT it must be in accordance with the syara'. All of u know this, but it is just as a reminder for u out there n most importantly to myself :D
Any other ideas?

J.E.A.N.S
Salam to all
Most of us in our wardrobe would have a pair of jeans at least. People from around the globe is wearing it. It is definitely easy to handle, as u dont really need to iron it except if it crumpled too much. U love ur jeans, dont u? coz i luv mine.
But as a Muslims we cant go wearing something that will show our figure. We must be modest in our clothing both men n especially women. However, I need to say that Al-Quran never prevent from us to have a sense of style, except when it would make u involve in ma'siah and mubazzirun.
I have to stress on this, and I have posted how much i despise skinny jeans. Muslims nowadays, are wearing it, especially the youngsters. I just cant imagine how low their conscience towards the syara'. But actually they do know about it, its just they dont want to follow. If people ask wut would be the difference between Islam and other religion, they would answer that Islam is not just a religion, its a way of life. Therefore, ladies if it is a way of life, u must run ur life consistent with the teachings! N covering ur skin is definitely not a way of a Muslim's life!
My suggesstion would be, if u think that u are so skinny, put on the straight cut jeans. It is way better, and this kind of cutting would make ur feet look longer and smaller [dats wut most of the women wants, or not?]
However, I must say that straight cut jeans are not for people of plus sizes, just like me. Although u think u are comfortable in that pair of jeans, it doesnt do justice to u. believe me i know!
I like to wear bootleg jeans, its a bit thight on your hips [actually its very thight], dats y, u have to cover it with a beatiful long dresses. It'll make u look a 100X better, and of course modest.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'd do a wideleg jeans review. This is wut the muslimahs need to go for. This is so in season, even the westerners who are kafiruns think that it is comfy. U can wear a blouse which just cover ur bums, coz the legs are wide enough to cover ur shape.
Im soooo crazy bout it, coz i haven't have one. It is definitely beautiful, stylish n simple!
Another option that u can go for is a flared jeans, or even pants. u can wear it as ur day look or even for ur office look. it is sophisticated, and u'd be taken seriously :))
Wut choice is yours?

travel light V(^o^)V
Salam to all
I hate traveling with big bulky bags, they're so troublesome. Of course none of us like to travel with so many bags. But sometimes i think most of the Malaysians tends to do that, especially Muslimah girls.
Like a friend of mine, she always said that she wants to mix and match everything, especially her hijab. dats y she tends to bring 'every' single thing and makes her bags so full of stuff that sometimes she wont even wear :-?
So, some of you know this already. Who doesnt? But for me, i like it to be simple but stylish :)
Lets start off with a very light dress; denim dress
some of u would say, too simple. but dont u think less is more? i always do. anyway, this dress can be mixed and matched with any long tee, any colours. my choice would be purple and orange. u can go by the normal black and white. but i've passed that already. its so boring, and that would be too simple for me.
this purple tee, can be worn with a light chiffon shawl with abstract patterns. these shawls are so in fashion right now, coz its so light n easy to wear. the colour would blend together with da tee and brings out da denim dress
U can wear da same dress and just change the tees inside. Orange would be a lovely colour and i juz love da strikiness of both the tees and the shawls..uooohh
Then juz wear with a pair of jeans, now people are more into wide leg jeans. i'll be doing that for da next post.
Any other suggestions?
